Speech and Language Services
To help create a plan to identify and address cognitive, academic, or social-emotional needs, we offer neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations. Evaluations also include occupational therapy and speech and language evaluations as needed. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with families and school systems to create and implement individualized recommendations tailored to each client’s unique profile.
We also offer psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our therapists have training in a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, and social communication therapy. We also provide parent support in a variety of settings, such as in-office parent coaching, in-home parent coaching, and parent-child therapeutic approaches (e.g., Parent-Child Interaction Therapy [PCIT] or Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy [DDP]). We also have a team of marriage and family therapists who provide couples and/or family therapy. Our psychiatrists and nurse practitioners support the medication needs of our clients as they relate to psychological functioning.
Our team of occupational therapists (OTs) provide sensory processing evaluations and occupational therapy services to clients with sensory processing concerns. Each of our centers has a state-of-the-art sensory gym where sessions take place. Intensive listening services are available for clients who struggle to hold their attention in multi-sensory environments. We also provide handwriting development, feeding therapy, and bike and gardening lessons to support sensory and occupational functioning needs. Nutritional counseling is also available.
For academic support services, we have a team of specialists with training in reading support using the Orton-Gillingham model, executive functions coaching, and Cogmed Training to address working memory needs. Our academic specialists also provide tutoring across a range of academic subjects. To support students throughout their development, our transition team is available as students move from high school into college and/or the work environment. We provide life and career coaching guided by personality assessments such as the Lumina Spark model and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Our speech and language therapy department services a wide range of speech and language development concerns with services such as language therapy, voice therapy, stuttering therapy, and therapy for apraxia.
Each year, we also offer a complimentary parent lecture series with contributions from each of our disciplines to support the ongoing parenting needs of our larger community.
